The Xiaomi M365 scooter has evolved over time, but every version uses the same size wheels: 8½ x 2 inches, both front and rear.
Here’s the list of compatible Mi Electric Scooter models:
- Xiaomi M365
- Xiaomi M187 Youth Edition
- Xiaomi Pro and Pro 2
- Xiaomi Essential
- Xiaomi Lite
- Xiaomi 1S
- Xiaomi Mi 3

Should You Replace Your Tyre?
Before changing your tyre, check these two key points:
1. Is the tread visibly worn down?
2. Does the inside of the tyre show signs of damage?
- Can you see any threads on the inner edges?
- Was there any rubber debris inside when you removed the flat inner tube?
If you answered no to both, there’s no need to replace the tyre. Simply change the inner tube.

Xiaomi Inner Tubes
Choose an inner tube that meets the following criteria:
- Exact size: 8½ x 2L
- Valve type: Straight Schrader, slightly angled outward
- Quality: Thick, durable rubber
These specs make inflation easier and ensure a perfect fit with the rim and tyre.

💡 What’s a reinforced Xiaomi inner tube?
It’s made from vulcanised butyl rubber, a material that resists friction and punctures.
Thicker than standard models, it also features reinforcing ridges for added durability. Simple, tough, effective.
Xiaomi Solid Tyres

There are plenty of puncture-proof tyres for Xiaomi scooters on the market.
We tested most of them based on key criteria:
- Rubber quality
- Wear resistance
- Road grip
- Ride comfort
- Ease of installation
Here’s our top pick for an all-round solid tyre ⬇️

Solid Tyres: Pros & Cons
Advantage:
- Flat-proof: The only option that guarantees 100% puncture resistance.
*Note: There are no other advantages to using a solid tyre.
Disadvantages:
- Comfort: Solid tyres don’t absorb shocks as well as inflatable ones.
- Grip: Traction is reduced on wet or uneven surfaces.
- Warranty: Fitting solid tyres alters the scooter’s original configuration, which may void the manufacturer’s warranty.

Solid or Inflatable Tyres?
Not sure what to choose? Here are our three recommended setups:
Setup 1 (our favourite)
➡️ Reinforced inflatable tyres on both front and rear

You’ll get top comfort and excellent grip, especially on wet roads and uneven or bumpy surfaces.
Setup 2
➡️ Inflatable front tyre + solid rear tyre

This hybrid solution gives you front-end comfort while reducing puncture risk at the back.
Setup 3
➡️ Solid tyres front and rear

If you never want to deal with punctures again, this is an option. Not our first choice, but it works for some.
Tip: How to Avoid Punctures!
Key takeaway:
- 80% of punctures are caused by under-inflation
- 20% are due to sharp objects (nails, screws, glass shards…)
The secret to avoiding flats is simple: check your tyre pressure regularly and keep your tyres properly inflated.
