Step 1: Remove the Stickers
On the front wheel, the bolts are hidden under small stickers (red or yellow depending on the model).
- Carefully slide a thin blade under each sticker.
- Peel them off gently so they can be reused later.
- Once removed, the bolts will be visible.

Step 2: Remove the Covers
Unscrew the small bolts securing the side covers.
Check the bolt head shape:
- Star-shaped → Use a Torx T10
- Hexagonal → Use a 2.5 mm Allen key
You’ll find 4 bolts on the motor cable side and 2 on the opposite side.

Step 3: Remove the Front Wheel
- Use the 18 mm spanner to unscrew the two nuts.

Step 4: Deflate the Tyre
- Remove the valve cap.
- Press inside the valve with a thin object to release the air.

Step 5: Push the Valve into the Rim
- Gently push the valve through the rim.
- If it’s stuck, tap it lightly with a small hammer.

Step 6: Remove One Side of the Tyre
- Squeeze the tyre sidewalls to detach them from the rim.
- Apply soapy water around the edges to ease removal.
- Insert two Hercules tyre levers on each side of the valve.
- Use the levers to lift and remove the first side of the tyre.

Step 7: Remove the Inner Tube
- Push the lower part of the tyre into the rim’s groove.
- Pull the valve out, then carefully remove the inner tube.

Step 8: Remove the Tyre
Remove the remaining side of the tyre by hand.

- Remove the valve core using a core remover.
- Carefully insert the valve into place using a small Allen key or flat screwdriver.
- Reinstall the valve core.

Step 11: Deflate the Inner Tube Slightly
- Once the tube is in place, let some air out.
- Put the valve cap back on to keep it secure during fitting.

Step 12: Check the Tyre Rotation Direction
- Locate the directional arrow on the tyre sidewall.
- Align it correctly with the motor’s direction of travel.

Step 13: Insert the Inner Tube into the Tyre
- Slide the tube into the tyre.
- Then place the motor unit directly above the tyre.

Step 14: Fit the First Side
- Wrap three cable ties loosely around the lower part of the tyre on the side opposite the valve.
- Don’t tighten them yet.
- Apply soapy water to the tyre edges.
- Use a tyre lever to help slide the rim into the tyre.

Step 15: Tighten the Cable Ties
Tighten the cable ties to bring the tyre sidewalls closer together and create more space.

Step 16: Fit the Second Side
- Push the section of the tyre held by the cable ties into the rim groove.
- Apply soapy water to the edges.
- Use tyre levers to gently work the second side of the tyre into the rim.
- Be careful not to pinch the inner tube.

Step 17: Remove the Cable Ties
Cut the three cable ties and pull them out.

Step 18: Inflate the Tyre
- Inflate the tyre to the recommended pressure based on your weight.
- See our guide: How to Inflate a Xiaomi Tyre Properly
- Tip: A valve extender makes inflation much easier.

Step 19: Reinstall the Wheel
- Check that the locking washers are facing down.
- Refit the wheel into the fork.
- Firmly tighten the nuts.
- Replace the covers and screw them back in.
