Bike wheel sizes according to your child's age

12 inch inner tubes

Generally used for small bikes fitted with 12 1/2 x 2 1/4 tyres (the most common size).

Age: between 2 and 3 years
Height: between 90 and 95 cm

14 inch inner tubes

Your child usually moves on to their first bike with real pedals and 14" wheels.

Age: between 3 and 4 years
Height: between 95 and 100 cm

16 inch inner tubes

A slightly bigger bike with 16 inch wheels.

Age: between 4 and 5 years
Height: between 100 and 110 cm

18 inch inner tubes

They start to go faster and pick up speed with bigger wheels.
The 18 inch tyres are there to help them progress.

Age: between 5 and 7 years
Height: between 110 and 120 cm

20 inch inner tubes

No more messing around! With 20 inch wheels, your child is ready to follow you almost anywhere.

Height: between 120 and 135 cm
