A dependable inner tube is the foundation of worry-free riding
The inner tube is the “invisible” part that makes a real difference day to day: it holds pressure, supports comfort, improves rolling efficiency and gives you peace of mind. This collection brings together all our bike inner tubes, covering a very wide range of diameters and widths, so you can quickly find the right one in case of a puncture, a slow leak, or simply for preventative replacement.
Which bikes and which uses?
Depending on your wheel size and tyre width, you’ll find inner tubes here suited to many bikes and riding styles:
- Kids’ bikes (12", 14", 16", 18"): balance bikes, first pedal bikes, small kids’ MTBs.
- BMX (often 20"): street riding, pump tracks, leisure.
- MTB: classic and modern sizes (e.g. 26", 27.5", 29"), including wider sections depending on your setup.
- Hybrid / city bikes: for everyday commuting, trekking and comfort.
- Folding bikes: depending on the model (often 16" to 20").
- Cargo / utility bikes: some builds take more generous tyre widths.
- Certain specific wheels using “bike-style” sizing (e.g. trailers): as long as the tyre size and valve match exactly.
Important: compatibility depends first and foremost on your tyre/rim size. If you’re unsure, always rely on the markings printed on the tyre.
How to be sure you’ve got the right size: inches and ETRTO
To avoid mistakes, check the size directly on the sidewall of your tyre:
- In inches (e.g. 20x1.75, 26x1.95, 29x2.25)
- Or in ETRTO (e.g. 47-406, 50-559, 57-622)
ETRTO is often the most reliable: the first number is the tyre width (in mm) and the second is the rim’s internal diameter (in mm). Example: 47-406 corresponds to a 20" wheel in roughly 1.75 width.
Sizes available in this collection (quick reference)
This page groups inner tubes covering many sizes, including:
- Small wheels: 12", 14", 16", 17", 18"
- Very common sizes: 20", 22", 24", 25", 26"
- Larger wheels: 27", 27.5" (650B), 28" (700C), 29"
- Specific sizes depending on setups: 30.5", 32", 36"
You’ll also find many different widths (tyre sections) within the same diameter. The goal is simple: your tyre must fall within the inner tube’s compatibility range.
Width: choose a range that covers your tyre
Beyond diameter, check the width (section): an inner tube often covers a range (e.g. 1.75–2.125). If your tyre is 2.00, choose a tube whose range includes 2.00. Too narrow or too wide can lead to a tricky install, premature wear, or less stable pressure retention.
Valves: Presta, Schrader, Dunlop… how to choose
The valve must match your rim and how you inflate (home pump, track pump, petrol station air, etc.):
- Presta valve (SV): slim, common on road bikes, gravel bikes, and many MTBs.
- Schrader valve (AV): wider, robust, similar to car valves, handy for inflating at petrol stations; common on MTBs and kids’ bikes.
- Dunlop valve (DV): less common than Presta/Schrader in the UK, but still found on some city bikes.
Fitting tips to stop punctures coming back
- Check the inside of the tyre (thorn, glass, staple) before refitting.
- Inspect your rim tape: if it’s damaged, it can cause repeated punctures.
- Inflate to the recommended pressure: too low = pinch flats; too high = harsh ride and extra stress.
- When installing, add a small amount of air to the tube first and avoid pinching it when refitting the tyre.
Why buy your inner tube here?
Because it saves you time: a very broad size coverage, clear size references (inches/ETRTO), and practical guidance so you choose the right tube first time. Browse the collection, filter by size, and get your bike back on the road quickly and with confidence.
