PART A - REMOVAL
Step 1: Remove the Wheel from Your Wheelbarrow

- Turn your wheelbarrow upside down.
- Unscrew the two bolts on either side of the axle.
- Lift the wheel out of its housing.
Step 2: Remove One Side of the Tyre

- Make sure the tyre is fully deflated.
- Starting from the valve side, use tyre levers or flathead screwdrivers to work your way around the rim and pry off the first side of the tyre.
- A few drops of liquid soap around the rim will help ease the tyre off.
Step 3: Take Out the Inner Tube

- Push the valve stem into the rim using a thin object.
- Reach inside the tyre to grab the inner tube.
- Gently pull it out from the wheel.
Step 4: Remove the Second Side of the Tyre

- Push the lower side of the tyre into the well of the rim.
- Then work the upper side outward.
- Press along the sides of the tyre until it comes free.
Step 5: Inspect the Condition of the Tyre

Check the condition of your tyre and inner tube.
➡️ Are they still in good shape? Cracked? Worn down?
Based on your inspection, choose one of the following options:
- Replace both the tyre and inner tube.
- Keep the old tyre and fit a new inner tube.
- Leave the existing setup and patch the inner tube using a repair kit.
IMPORTANT 💡
Wheelbarrow wheels come in many different sizes. The most common are: 4.80/4.00-8, 3.50/3.00-8, and 3.50-6.
Before ordering a replacement tyre or tube, check the size printed on the sidewall of your original tyre. This will help you avoid ordering the wrong size and having to return it.

PART B - REFITTING
Step 6: Fit the First Side of the Tyre

- Place the rim inside the tyre.
- Apply some liquid soap around the edge of the rim to help it slide in smoothly.
- Use a tyre lever to work your way around, pressing the rim down into the tyre.
*Tip: Start with the side of the rim that has the valve hole.
Step 7: Insert the Inner Tube

- Press the tyre slightly at the valve hole and insert the valve stem into place.
- Carefully tuck the inner tube into the tyre, making sure it sits evenly and doesn’t stick out beyond the rim to avoid pinching.
Step 8: Fit the Second Side of the Tyre

- Push the lower side of the tyre into the rim’s well.
- Work your way around, pressing the tyre back in place towards the valve.
- If it becomes difficult, apply some liquid soap along the tyre bead and finish with a tyre lever.
Step 9: Inflate the Wheelbarrow Tyre

- Inflate the tyre using a hand pump or compressor.
- The recommended pressure is always indicated on the tyre’s sidewall.
*As a general rule, wheelbarrow tyres should be inflated to around 30 PSI, or 2 bar.
Step 10: Reattach the Wheel

- Fit the wheel back onto the wheelbarrow fork.
- Tighten the bolts securely.
- Your wheelbarrow is now ready for action, good as new!
